Hi all! I have not seen anything recently about Anegada. We are supposed to arrive there for a week beginning Nov. 11th. Right now I am thinking it may be too soon for the island. I did hear they were not hit as bad. I have not been able to reach McKenzie to get a better idea of the conditions over there. His houses are on the west side. I did see he lost one. But do the others even have power yet? Anyone able to help me? Thanks. Love this forum!

I took a shot at calling McKenzie. He answered!! He was on Tortola and had cell service. As has been reported everyone on Anegada is safe. He rode the storm out on Anegada and said it was the worst storm by far he has ever experienced. There is still very little power on the island. He encouraged me to push our trip to mid December. He feels like the island will be in better shape and more businesses open by then. It was a pleasure to speak with him and we very much look forward to going back to the most beautiful place we have ever stayed.
Go Irish!!
