Reggie and I just returned from 3 weeks on Anegada, again a wonderful trip. The weather was superb if you like it hot with a warm breeze. The water was great. Could have stayed in at Loblolly for hours on end. The nights were very sleepable without anything more than a fan, and that only a few nights.

On Anegada things are still in flux since Lowell's tragic death. Folks are adjusting, but still somewhat in shock. Meanwhile, Lowell's son, Lawrence has been quite involved in the running of the hotel and he also got married on September 7th. So many big changes in that family in a short time!

There is talk about a new marina to be built somewhat further west of the hotel (beyond Neptune's Treasure). And perhaps later a larger hotel is in the offing too, done by the same people who would do the marina. Is this a plus for you boating people? One imagines it would be a marina like on Virgin Gorda, I guess. There is talk about dredging.

Meanwhile, in the offseason of September, Anegada was very quiet and peaceful. Few tourists. The only stuff to report is the "local news" which I will be happy to give by e-mail to those interested (and who ask).

George
George To see my Anegada photos and more go to Pixadilly
