Day 10 " Fun in the Sun"
We awoke to sunshine again today and after a large cooked breakfast, we packed our bags for the beach. Today we went off to Cupecoy and met up with Todd and MJ who had just arrived yesterday. Later Steve and Ann joined us and also Harry, Alan and Elaine. The beach there is beautiful and I think it is one of the prettiest beaches on the island! Danny always has great food and drinks and of course chairs and umbrellas for rent. We always enjoy Danny's rib platter and today was no exception. We like the fact that we don't have to bother with money until time to leave and then we pay Danny for everything on the way out.
We were going to stay for the sunset there, but decided to go to the Dream Pool Bar instead. We got some great sunset shots and enjoyed Marty's mango coladas in the company of great friends.
We left the Dream Pool Bar and went to Marty's Gyro Restaurant in Simpson Bay for dinner. Marty called ahead and reserved a big table for us and we all had delicious meals there. The staff was friendly and attentive and all the meals were served promptly. I had the hurricane shrimp and David had the hurricane pork both of which were served with salad and french fries. With wine and water , the total was $45 including tip. The menu there is extensive and the prices are very reasonable. This restaurant has been in the Simpson Bay location right next to Topper's for 17 years, but this was our first time dining there. We definitely will return!
Now with full tummies, we felt the need for a few hours of entertainment, so we all headed to the Red Piano Bar to listen to the great music of the Gomez brothers from Quebec City , Canada. Their music was wonderful and they played to a full house. They were the best entertainers the Red Piano Bar has had in a long time. They will be there till the end of November and we hope to hear them again before we leave.
We arrived home around 1:00 A.M. with memories of good times with good friends.
It was truly a wonderful day !
