Out two charters with Horizon gave me the impression of a very professional operation. The boats were emaculate. One rule to remember is NEVER allow a corrogated cardboard box on the boat. Unpack them on the dock and carry the contents aboard after inspection. The glue used in cardboard boxes is a roach delicacy and the corrogations give ideal shelter to the young ones.

We just finished our 7th charter with Horizon 2 weeks ago. No roaches on any of our trips. We do not bring along cardboard. It gets removed as we unpack our provisions.

I don't know if we've just been lucky or not but we've chartered with Moorings, Horizon, Captain's Compass, Conch and Sail Caribe out of PR and have never had a roach. (Knocking on wood as we speak). We are also fanatic about packaging and cardboard and it's off the boat as soon as products are put away.
I'm sure we'll come across it at some point though, it's just a natural hazard for that area.
