Ok, we’re staying at Beach Side Villas, wife wants a pizza tonight, and sunset and driftwood is out already had them and they are just so so (now everyone calm down now, we just didn’t care for them, lol ). We are looking for something close by to pick up and bring back. We like thin crust with the pockets of air (bubbles) in the crust. Sauce has to be great but nothing that’s going to keep us up all night (indigestion). And close by if possible. That being said, any and all help is needed!
While I have never had pizza at either place I am going to mention, I believe others (who I would trust their opinion) have. Bar Code or Fat Tony's up in the Cupecoy area and back towards the medical school.
Try Pizza & CO in Simpson Bay. In same area as the Subway shop and same side of road. Across the street from Soggy Dollar Bar entrance. Good prices. Lots of choices. Most of their business is take-a-way. Enjoy
We really enjoyed the pizza at Fat Tony’s but that was last April and pre Irma. I believe they have reopened and it’s an easy ride from BSV Through Maho and the main road through Mullet. Turn into the road below the Stars casino area and follow it through past the main entrance to the med school into the Jordan Village area. It’s more or less on the corner and there’s plenty of parking along with a great little pastry shop across the street for dessert after dinner if you’re of a mind.......
There are a bunch of fairly new (new to us anyway...) places in the Jordan village area and a spaghetti house which is rumored to be excellent, so i’ve been told, and reasonably priced, too. Not an ‘evening out for dinner and drinks’ kind of place but good food at a reasonable price and in a reasonably good location.

We’ve tried it, too, and it was pretty good if it’s the same place I’m thinking of......
Pizza, and particularly “the best” pizza is such a personal thing. Some like thin crust that almost cracks while others like the medium bubbly crust. Some like it flooded with sauce while others like it with very little tomato sauce or even white with no sauce at all - an all white pizza with ricotta ad mozzarella and mushrooms and onions or pineapple and ham. And then there’s cheese - a little, a lot, mozzarella, Parmesan or whatever your personal pleasure. And then there’s the add-on toppings. We like plain mozzarella with no additional toppings while some want meats, vegetables, anchovies - you name it.
So to name ‘THE BEST” is almost anyone’s guess. But the really nice thing is that on SXM you can find them all if you’re willing to look around and try the different offerings.

Thanks Pat, I think we will be heading that way! If this sand gravity gets off our feet, lol! We are going to try it out! Thanks again for all the quick information! Love this!,
Best of anything is very subjective for sure! We are in LOVE with a new pizza at Buccaneer I think called something like Boerwurst pizza. House made thin crust covered in South African sausage and Biltong. Made on the island. Amazing thing!

Glad they got back to making their own crusts. Pizza I had there this last trip was like the good old days. Couple of years ago they were using frozen premade crusts that resembled and tasted like a cardboard Frisbee.
Well the verdict is in, with us anyway. It was a very good pizza. Thin crust with 4 toppings was $20.00, and a small is large enough for two people! We will order again. The have a lot of small pick up take out restaurants around in that area, and two small grocery stores! We also picked up some pastries from across the street for in the morning. All in all, wasn’t a bad trip over there!
We are blessed to have so many good options in Cupecoy. Bar Code is a wonderful restaurant and Spaghetti House is home made pasta for a reasonable price. They are not all only take out. But with all those students living just there, they all do a great take out business.

Yes, thanks to everyone’s help, we were lead in the right direction. Wife was talking about dominos (just thinking of pizza which we don’t eat a lot of) only because we hung out with the owner of all the dominos the other night. By the way, very nice gentleman, had a blast!
I was thrilled to find the Carrefour express over there in Jordan village. Got very nice steaks and some potatoes to bake...cooked steaks on the grill on the deck. Salad items too.
Hmmm, I really need to take the time to get my pictures uploaded...lol

I miss bel opoc (sp) in marigot marina.... they closed shop a couple of years ago..that was my all time favorite ...also kon tiki .... are there any places that offer anything similar ? I'll be there Wednesday
When things are going well here, there are almost 1000 medical students studying and living in the area. As a result all of us have all these choices at reasonable prices!

Yes we think that is great! Well off to tour the island! We are offering tours today for $5.00, no ship in town, well maybe just gas money! Just a joke!

Totally agree with you, Le Belle Epoque was the best. Their pizza chef went to Dreams, but, alas, it's gone for good too
Darlin' you know I'll post a menu....or send it to you...lol....just need time. Being on the HOA Board and coming home and working has been a big ole B!
