Looking for the best way to get someone from Beef Island airport to Jost Van Dyke. My buddy's girlfriend is coming in two days late to meet us and we will be in Great Harbour. She lands at 9:47 AM. We are in a power cat so not really an issue to motor over to the west end of Tortola. Would you recommend mooring in cane garden bay or sopers hole to meet a cab? Any other thoughts?

Thanks,

RB

Or if it’s calm, just motor to Trellis Bay.

It will take an hour, maybe more, to get a taxi from Trellis Bay to West End and cost $50. Plus the ferry. Even the ride to CGB is not so easy, post-Irma.

What's different about the ride to CGB post-Irma?

The roads suck, particularly through East End, and you get held up and diverted by construction. Unless everything has been fixed since June.

If you're going to CGB or West End, it's better to take the Ridge Road. The roads that way are about the same level of suck as they were before Irma.

There is some repairs since June, but not enough. Much of the East End paving is done.

Today's trip from CGB to the airport took 39 minutes via taxi.

Why not arrange things so you can just pick her up at trellis bay that day? That's what we've always done. If that doesn't fit your plans, CGB seems like the next best option.
