Can anyone enlighten me re possibly two Unity Car Rentals? I have read a few posts stating that there are two different companies named Unity. I am looking for the email address or the proper phone number for Michael at Unity. Have rented from him in the past with good service and am wanting to do the same for our trip end of January. I sent an email but have had no response. Any suggestions....or at least can someone clarify the confusion of possibly two different companies under the same name. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm reserved again with Michael (the original) for January, this is the email I used that was good and I had a quick response to acknowledge:

thank you, had not seen this email yet. Just so weird for him not to respond. I used the email address that was listed under Unity Car Rental in the TTOL sponsors. I will give the above email a try,. We arrive in sxm on Jan 26,,,cannot wait.

Michael actually just posted the difference on facebook. The Unity Car Rental run by Michael is dutch side based located near the Simpson Bay Bridge. His website is Unitycars.com. The Unity Car Rental run by Joseph is french side based and their website is Unitycarrental.com. Michael said Joseph has been taking his car rental people who booked through Michael, but were waiting to get picked up at the airport. He said its very important to make sure you ask for Michael from Unity Car Rental. Both of their websites still mention each other. I was under the impression they had a falling out and were now competing with each other, but I don't know the full details.

That's the Unity we recently used and we were pleased with the experience.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

We have been renting from Michael for years. Always great service. He has split from his partner and is now located right behind the police department after you go over the causeway from the airport. Much better location and ibis new house is there which he is very proud of.

Just a little be aware FYI on an experience I had. We have rented from Michael since our first trip probably 20 years ago. As usual this past January we rented for ourselves and also friends that were coming in the next week along with our kids. Unfortunately they had a plane issue and their arrival was delayed a day. They were to meet up with our kids arriving on a different flight so we made a last minute trip to the airport to get the kids but also to let Michael know about the delay. It was so crowded but I finally saw a Unity sign with 3 guys around it, I asked if they were with Michael's Unity. The response was they were Unity, I kept asking Michael's Unity, I kept getting the response that they were Unity but their tone kept getting more rude. Clearly they weren't the friendly guys of Michael's that have always met us. Finally I walked away, found someone else to ask if they had seen Michael yet. They had and pointed to where he was at. I told Michael of our friends delay, I knew the time but not the airline (originally Spirit), he told me immediately what airline and he took care of meeting them the next day. We have never had any car issues but feel confident if we ever would, Michael would resolve it quickly.

very similar to our experience when we arrived. I saw the unity sign with these guys,,,I asked specifically if it was Michael and he said we are Unity. I said, well you are not Michael and walked away. Obviously trying to scoop Michaels business, just as I was warned. Michael came and it was not a problem. Another great experience with Michael and the Dutch side Unity. Having his new name and company will solve this issue in the future.
