I just want to update everyone one on how Orient village/beach are.My wife and I spent two perfect weeks at a beachside villa on Orient Beach. We spent everyday at Kontiki except 3 at Pinel.Pinel is better than ever, everything new, buildings beach chairs, same great food as before, beach boys are great. I highly recommend the ribs at karibuni actually everything was perfect. The new Kko is located near where Coco was we had lunch there one day best mani mahi all week.Bikini beach is open till 8 PM.We hung out at Kontiki because the waves are a lot smaller than by Kko or bikini.Speaking of bikinis it good to see them getting smaller and smaller lots of thongs and g strings and topless. So Kko,Kontiki and bikini and yellow sub are all new and better than ever, there is construction going on so more is on the way.Perch Lite is open on the CO side I would guess there are probably 200 to 300 people on the CO side everyday. Club O is destroyed but the beach is still great. I would also guess an average of 1000 people on the rest of the beach, years ago and I have been here many times Orient would have been 60 to 80 percent busier. the restaurants in the village are open must be 5 or 6 all have excellent food.,service and drinks.I see people commenting on seaweed guess what some days you have some and some days you don’t are things back to 100% no not yet but the buildings that have been rebuilt are better than they were.we will be returning next year. Hope this helps
