Hello, All.
For various reasons we have been unable to visit SXM for two years, but we are hoping to do so in November or early December. My question is a mundane one: Are there restrooms available on the Orient Beach Club beach? Also, is there a charge to park near the beach?
Thanks for your replies.

On the island now and have not seen any restrooms at Club O. As davew says the parking is free by the Perch Lite

There were restrooms in a container building on the beach, relatively close to the Perch Lite, between the Perch and where Pedro's used to be. Is that container no longer there?

In April there was a make shift wooden building right along side the containers at Perch Lite with an rv toilet in them, but i would avoid them unless desperate!

Huh. And the container building where the restroom was, was no longer there?

The container building where the restroom was, was no longer there? I do not believe there was ever a restroom in the container. We were there last February and March, and the February and March the year before. The wooden restroom was adjacent to the container. The container was still there as of the end of March.

OK, I never used it, but I thought that's where people said it was.

I'd suggest buying a couple of drinks at either Kontiki or Bikini and using their restrooms. Why worry about it. The new restrooms at both places are excellent, clean, and spacious. But, you really should give them some business in return for this convenience. I wouldn't suggest using restrooms anywhere else on Orient.

I inquired specifically about the beach in front of the former Club Orient.

There was a porta pottie near the parking area when we were there in March. We used it daily on our 5 week vacation. No sink but hand sanitizer was provided. At the end of the day toilet paper might be scarce but otherwise it was fine to use.

Oops! I didn't catch that. However, I would still use the restrooms at Kontiki after buying a beer or a drink there. It's a really short walk. You just have to put the ole' swimsuit back on before heading over!
