We are going to be on Anguilla on 30 May, which by reading I found out is Anguilla Independence Day.

Is there anything that we should not miss on this special day? Do the restaurants and bars stay open for the celebration or does everything closed down?

We read where there is a parade and sailboat race... fireworks maybe?

Boat races are a staple of all Anguillian holidays. They are accompanied by beach BBQ's and music. You can participate in the revelry, or just watch the boats pass by while lounging on the beach.
