So why Azores? We like to do different and my mariner hubby has always wanted to go there. Rich in shipping history , it’s position in the middle of the Atlantic is intriguing.

We couldn’t make up our minds where to go and what Islands to see so we choose to make it easy and stay put on Sao Miguel staying in Ponta Delgada , renting a car for the week and heading out each day to find adventure. We drove every coastline and it was indeed spectacular . Each small town had its own charm , a little church, a bar and incredible vistas at the sea side . We went in October and the weather was wonderful 20 ish centigrade , perfect strolling temp.

Hydrangea growing wild , lush green pastures and mesmerizing cliffs overlooking black sand beaches had this amateur photographer in picture perfect heaven

Beautiful Pictures! Thank you for Sharing.
I went back and checked - the island I use to visit is Terceira.

Also I like the photos attached. I have figured out how to embedded pictures in a thread, but not attach them.
Inquiring Minds want to know what is your secret confused.

Once again - BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!

Beerman and Tom--adding pics to an individual post is very easy. Easier than embedding them. Just upload them directly. Click on USE FULL EDITOR. This brings up a screen to type on. Scroll down below the space to ATTACHMENT MANAGER and click on that. From there, if you want to attach a caption, do so. If not, just find the picture you want to upload and viola!! Very easy, just the pictures don't go full screen..

Thanks for the report, by the way! Love those hydrageas!

So this dog needs to learn that trick too ...how to embed into a report ??? I know I tested this Carole but I have frequent “ mental pause” lately and can’t remember .

Kim your pics are beautiful!!...….now...let me tryyyyy this? ... editing to say cool it worked for me! Embedding is great if you want to use the pics in a specific order in your story, but this method is great for quick replies or a short report...this has motivated me to try a quick report in the US/Canada forum...stand by for a Weekend in DC

Kim I think we were replying at the same time ha! here's what I said....editing to say cool it worked for me! I will look for my step by step instructions on embedding and send them to you, it certainly takes longer especially because I resize the images first, I cant remember if resizing is mandatory to store them here? Tom do you remember?

That would be wonderful if you don’t mind...I have been organizing photos and would really like to be able to do the embed thing for my Kenya trip last year. We went on safari and the visited with Nick and Monica in watamu and it was amazing . Lots of the pics will need explanations ...here is a sneak peak

Beerman--If you upload the pictures to one of our photo galleries, SO LONG AS the pic is not larger than 8 megs, you don't have to resize it at all. Once it's in a TTOL photo gallery (or somewhere else on the net), then you use the IMAGE tag to insert the url of the picture. That will embed the picture in the report itself.

Kim in Beerman's defense that looks like a dish one could get in the Azores. wink

Beerman - Look forward to you quick DC report in the future.
I excited to find out if you went with Jose's Way of 8 or 10 courses of bliss and wines?

...we now return the thread to Kim and beautiful pictures in the Azores
