https://www.usatoday.com/story/trav...holland-america-cruise-limbo/2927031001/Got to wonder why they didn’t pull in and end a cruise......where did these people originate/embark? This particular segment began 7 March in Buenos Aires and supposed to end in San Antonio, Chile 21 March. They told on food and fuel and are anchored off Panama and Rendesvous with Rotterdam and are transferring doctors, nurses, and some pax. They are looking for permission to transit the canal for Fort Lauderdale. If approved I would stem AFAP—- As Fast As Possible. Plus HA is not known as the Spring Chicken Cruise Line

With all due respect, Pelican, PLEASE reread and proof your posts before posting. Your typos make some of your posts very difficult to understand. "They told on food"??

Thanks Snorkeller .......I’m a two handed, hunt and peck ipader (IPADER) and the autocorrect sometimes takes my very good hunt and pecking and converts it to Steve Jobs jibber is how. (jibberish) is what I typed. NOT “jibber is how” Seeee.
How do I turn off autocorrect.
Other times I am a crappy hunt and pecker, poster.
Sorry, I often do make multiple fixes after posting. Sometimes, I let it ride.

Two articles on the HA MS Zaandam and her sister ship Rotterdam off Panama. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/elderly-couple-on-coronavirus-stricken-ship-says-theyre-stuck-aboard-2020-3%3famp https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.th...allow-cruise-liner-zaandam-through-canalLooks like Panama has allowed the boat to transit. Risky as the canal pilots have to wear hazmat suits to make the passage. They have allowed “healthy” passengers to switch to the Rotterdam which will sail to San Diego to disembark. Priority for transfer was given to those over 70 with an inside cabin. Haven’t they read that healthy looking, asymptomatics spread the virus exceedingly well. They are going to end up with two ships infected. Fort Lauderdale not exactly thrilled with the prospect of their arrival as Broward County, FL already a hot spot. Why not have both ships haul [censored] to San Diego. They have already housed quarantines before at MCAS Miramar. Is this so HA can get their boat in position for next cruise? Never been censored before but i thought the use of haulass was appropriate.

https://apnews.com/23d12b5ec4cbd6200d3ce6e3902caa4bThe Zaandam told the passengers this is no longer a “cruise” but a “humanitarian mission”. Most of the “healthy” transferred to Rotterdam. Panama has allowed Zaandam to transit on humanitarian grounds. Gov of Florida has not yet given permission for ship to offload in Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades. Port Everglades workers were some of the first Florida Corona cases. Who will let them dock/disembark?

https://www.usatoday.com/story/trav...a-ships-dock-fort-lauderdale/5110778002/Land ho. Port Everglades to FLL is an easy transfer to arrange. Details of how the PAX will be disembarked in Fort Lauderdale in three categories. 1) asymptomatics in buses direct tarmac to charters. 2) 45 symptomatic stay on boat in quarantine until asymptomatic for 72 hours (how does this make someone ok to mix/mingle?) and 3) critical care needed will be xferred to local hospitals. I don’t get group 2 being allowed to escape after 72 hours of symptom free.......they need to go to a tent city in a state park for 2 weeks. Group 1 scares me but at least they are amongst their shipmates heading home to quarantine. UK, Canada OK.....how many flights for Americans—- general population. Oh boy, this is crazy time
