I've been to 13, but I can't believe none of the Grenadines are on the list.

Not the way I read it. The list includes various Bahamian islands/groupings, individual VI's--American, British, and Spanish--but not specific Grenadines, each of which has its own unique charms.

The OP did not include the full name as it was listed in the article. The article said St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Here is the link to the article.

I'm always surprised at the description of things to do on SXM in these magazine articles. The lolos and Maho would be the last two things I would recommend to a newbie. Well, maybe Maho just for the experience, but there's so much more to the island.

We really miss getting a rum punch at the Boat Bar at the end of the runway at Maho.

16 St John was my favorite. Yost Vandyke can be reached only by boat, great beach but not much more.

I have been to 7, including SXM, and to me, SXM was head and shoulders above the other 6.

"Oh, I wish I was there tonight, on Yost Van Dyke".. Kenny Chesney. No airport on St. John either.
I remember that old song "Kokomo". We went through most of the islands in that song, many of them on a cruise. Never could convince Eric to go to Bermuda. Would still like to do that though. Having visited most of the islands in the Caribbean, many on cruises, but many staying on land, St. Maarten/ST. Martin is head and shoulders above all the rest for us. I have no idea how T & L made their rankings, but to put islands like St. Croix, Vieques, or Culebra above SXM, I guess they are focused on uncrowded, with nothing to do, but go to the beach. SXM has great beaches, but so much more!!

I have been to 9 counting St Maarten but a few were just day stops from a cruise. I like Cayman and Aruba for their own reasons but St Maarten is my favorite

We’ve visited fourteen but only over-nighted on nine of them, along with a few more that didn’t make the main list. We had considered doing a cruise to hit the ones we‘ve missed but Covid caused us to cancel that plan.
Respectfully,
pat

Pat--I counted just the ones on that list. Lots of islands in the Caribbean I have been to that are not on that list.

We have been to 8. Besides SXM Vergin Gorda is one of our favorites, however we may be biased as my wifes Uncle an engineeer, was sent there by the Rockefellers 70 years ago to design Little Dicks Resort and the island as a tourist destination. We went there twice, but didn't stay, just toured and took pictures to show her uncle what it was like several years after. When he was there he said he was the only American on the island.
