Hello...We just dumped our BVI reservation and have moved over to USVI's instead. Our flight comes through SJU on Dec 3 at 11pm. Our flight to STT is Dec 4th at 5pm. Getting tested here in the US is no problem and we will fill out the PR travel paperwork through their portal. Our dilemma is the return. We land back in SJU at 6:30pm on Dec 11th and leave on Dec 12 at 3:30pm to go back to the US. Will PR require another covid test on way back? How would one do that if we are floating around the USVI's for a week? Stop somewhere? Where?

Thanks in advance

There are several places in the USVI where you are supposed to be able to get a test. A few of them indicate same day results are available. I haven't tried this yet so your mileage may vary.

Talk to your airline. Rebook and fly direct to STT. Even if it costs more in airfare which seems unlikely you will avoid additional expensive covid tests. Flights to STT from the US are very cheap. You can also do a open jaw booking and change the return out of STT to a nonstop and leave the SJU arrival flights the same.

George--that definitely makes sense, just change the return and fly back from STT.

Check out the USVI travel portal - https://usvitravelportal.com/ . They list clinics, including the Red Hook location of Red Hook Family Practice that has real time PCR. It's gonna be cheaper to fly back direct than take COVID tests.

You are all correct, thank you. It was just better to fly straight back to the US from STT instead of going back through SJU. Changed our flights with slight increases, which was cheaper than getting tested. USVI’s, here we come!
