We (hopefully) arrive on Friday early afternoon. So far 4 out of the 6 of us have our negative test results back. Waiting on mine and my husbands. Has anyone entered lately? Curious as to how long it took to get your certification letter back after applying through the Travel Screening Portal. Also wondering if anyone had issues with the lab that did their test. Since my 4 kids are in 2 different states they went to different places for their tests. Once we went onto the portal to apply for the certification it said that it had to be an "approved lab" which we didn't know ahead of getting the tests done.

We entered Nov. 6th and 7th. Five total - 4 from NC and 1 from PA. We all uploaded our PCR tests to the portal and had a response back a little over 24 hrs later. Definitely print the PCR test results and bring it with you. The line was long waiting for the screening but moved quickly. I think we were probably in line for 15 minutes. The screener wanted to see the e-mail response that the portal had accepted our submission. You should probably print that e-mail and bring it along with the printed covid test - that would be easiest.
I doubt there is any examination concerning the lab being "certified". Mine was but I just don't think anyone is checking for that.
Good luck. I've been home for three days and I'm ready to go back.
Life's short - sail more!

My husband and I got our tests back today so applied through the portal and waiting approval. 3 of the kids got their approval letter but the 4th was denied and asked to resubmit with more information. Exact words were...
Your travel screening submission needs to be resubmitted. Test results must be clear and legible, clearly identify the patient, the lab, the date of test and the type of test. Your submission does not meet one of these requirements.
Thinking is was because there wasn’t a lab written on the form, just said “in house” because it was at a doctor’s office.

We just returned from a week on St. John. My wife and I tested at a local CVS on Saturday, 11/7. I received results on Sunday, 11/8, she received hers on Monday, 11/9. On Monday, 11/9, I filled out the forms on the USVI portal and uploaded our test results. We received e-mail notification and the travel certificates on Tuesday, 11/10. Our flights departed early in the morning on Thursday, 11/12. Delta flight with connection in Atlanta. Middle seats were empty. Upon arrival at STT, as we walked around the outer perimeter of the terminal heading to the baggage claim area there were two folks directing traffic into two lines. They took our temperature with a temporal (forehead) thermometer. With no fever indicated, they motioned us along to the next person, that person took our certificates and gave us back our copies of the test results and said "you are free to go". We had arranged for a private taxi in advance and he was waiting right outside the door where the queue for taxis forms up.
The only stressful part of the whole experience was when I had received my results but my wife had not, I was afraid, if her results didn't come back in time, she might have to get a last minute test which would cost another $350 locally.

Five of us entered on Nov. 14. We all had our negative tests and approval from the portal. No issues at all. Within 5 minutes of exiting the plane we were sipping painkillers at the airport bar while waiting for our bags.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - beer in hand - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"
