After much anxiety over nothing, I got my Covid Testing done, submitted and approval paperwork processed. The process was seamless and went real well.
I flew American , thru Miami along with 45 other passengers 2 Sunday’s ago.
As a displaced Towers owner , I have spent my last couple of trips at the Atlantis in Simpson Bay , which is next to Mary’s Boon. It did not take long for sand gravity to take over and spent many enjoyable days at Mary’s Boon. I did make it to Phillpsburg , and Marigot ( a first in many years ), and saddened to see the devastation COVID has caused businesses with the lack of tourism. I felt very safe on the island as many stores require sanitizer on the hands and masking to enter, certainly cleaner than many areas here in the states. It is very surreal how quiet the island is with the lack of visitors. I used Medworks, at Plaza Del Sol for my return Covid testing and was very happy with the price and service. I booked my return visit for next year so 49 weeks and counting ! I flew American thru Charlotte with 30 on my return flight, as I made my way back to winter in Cleveland. If you are hesitant about going, Go! The island is as friendly as ever , and truly the paradise that we all know and love !

Thanks for the report. I'm not familiar with Atlantis. Is that a condo complex? Where did you go to eat?

The airlines seem to be flying pretty empty planes to SXM, even on the weekend. I am due to fly from a Friday to a Monday in June. Hopefully AA doesn't cancel my flight.

We fly in on a Saturday and fly out on a Friday. The AA miles was so low we did the Friday return. If they canceled the flight they still have to get me home. Not too worried as I have my timeshare though that Saturday.

Scubaman--I guess I worry that my vacation will be cut SHORT, as in, on the way down, they won't fly Friday, but will fly Saturday, and on the way back, they won't fly Monday, but will fly Sunday. The only good thing is that we are on the nonstop from Miami, so less chance of cancellation, I suppose.

Karl John--Thanks. We may have to try Jax again, as I was somewhat underwhelmed with them, and thought the price was too high, and this was pre-Covid...

Yes I can see your concern. We fly from SXM to MIA then on to SEA same day so one more day for us would be OK especially considering our accomodatons are secure in SXM. .

This is my first post on this site, but I have been following ttosxm since 2009. I want to thank everyone for all of the valuable information that I have received.
I am returning to the island this Saturday. First time back since March 2017, pre-hurricane and very anxious to return.

My question is to Karl John. He mentioned that he received his COVID-19 testing at Medworks for his return to the States. I have received a recommendation to Medworks for our testing but my concern, is the Abbott Panbio Antigen Rapid Test FDA approved. I know they do PCR and Antigen testing. I would rather go the Antigen route if possible. Can you please let me know which test you received.

Thanks again for all the help over the years:)
