I'm not Ed, but the concept that people would actually take their temperature and report it TRUTHFULLY, if it happened to be high, is kind of silly, to me.
The requirement for daily temperature checks is still on the official government website, as of now.

To answer the question directed to me. The crazy emails received for daily temps were a joke. If you hit the F button for faneheit, the only thing you could put in were the first two numbers. so if you had a 99.9 temperature, it only took the 99. Almost one degree of temperature makes a lot of difference. Then, I am in total agreement with Carol, expecting people to report a temperature accurately and HONESTLY is beyond crazy, especially when people's lives are at stake. IF a system like this would work, i think there could be a better implementation in place with more scrutiny. The resorts, the casinos all have infrared scanners now that take people's temps. Having this service run by qualified people, would make more sense. Expensive....probably! Safer for all.....YES!!!!!

The requirement for daily temperature checks is still on the official government website, as of now. You would not want to know if your sick?????? If the end result is daily checking your temperature then I see no downside.
