Up at 330 for a Delta flight flying first class out of Jackson with a connection in Atlanta using Sky Miles points. We have a saying in Mississippi “Whether you are going to heaven or hell you are going thru Atlanta” The new international terminal in Atlanta is nice and the Sky Miles lounge is great with an outdoor seating area which was great because you could lose your mask for a bit. Mask wearing was nearly 100% in the airport and 100% on the plane flights. Flight down was relatively smooth. We were sequestered to our seats around Orlando for a bit but was not very bad turbulence in my opinion. Arrival for a Monday was shockingly busy. Lots of cruise ship workers flying in, evacuees from Volcano and regular travelers made for a 45 minute to 1 hour line. Made worse by wearing a mask in the humid hall. Just a note if you are really freaked out by Covid then you probably aren’t prepared for this part. Queued up like getting in line for Space Mountain, you won’t be able to social distance. You can give that up in this part of the trip. Leslie with Kenny’s was waiting outside with the only Nissan Versa to survive the Hurricane. Scratches, dents, cracked headlight and taillight and odd ball tires squeaking brakes and a roaring blower motor. Perfect because I’m not worried about making it much worse than it already is. Renting apartment from Delphine Richards of Le Piment. Apartment just behind La Playa. Great 2 bedroom 2 shower one toilet. Airco has a hard time keeping up and will trip a breaker with a coffee pot or hair dyer but the fuse box is easy to get to. So again no big deal. Had a drink at La Playa then some more at Bikini then a quick drive for Ribs at Talk of the Town. They were not busy. Bad call on my part because ribs were dry. Been on the grill too long I guess. But 2 rib plated 2 beers and Chardonnay $30 with tip! Back to Bikini for a couple more drinks. Bartender is friendly and good tonight. To the room exhausted but thankful to finally be here.
Tomorrow Orange Fever!

Sounds like you're off to a good start. I myself won't settle for a clunker car but whatever floats your boat. To bad the electrical circuits are so sensitive but looks like you have it figured out.

Nice report, fun to read. So just wondering, was going through Atlanta like going to heaven or hell? Never been there, but wondering still the same.
