We are staunch supporters of Cedrick and will continue to be! We made the mistake a couple weeks ago to go to the other umbrellas because some friends and gone there and were hounded by the vendors and massage ladies. They just kept making circles and wouldn't take "no". One of the massage ladies sat on my wife's chair and insisted on giving a "demonstration" even after being told no and 5 minutes later, said we owed her $40! I was so aggravated that we left in less than an hour. Never again! When I was there in June, there was a particularly assertive massage lady trying to sell me on a foot massage. She then started to massage my foot. I was startled she would touch me without my permission and said, fairly loudly, "do not touch me!" She left and didn't return.

And on another note, several years ago we were in Grenada and our first morning on the beach we were approached by a vendor selling her trinkets. I told her we had just arrived and would be here for a week but while I did want to purchase her spice baskets, I would prefer to do so the day before we went home.
Her name was Angela and although we saw her on the beach every day she never approached us again till the day before our departure when she reintroduced herself and offered her spice baskets telling me she had over-filled a few just for me.
I’ve often wished she could give the vendors on SXM lessons as to how to approach and treat visitors. 🙂🙂
Respectfully,
pat
