Anyone have experience with grocery stores or markets on Isla Mujeres. Headed there next week and wondered about boat provisions for return trip to Florida. Thanks, Fred

Yes they do. There is a full service supermarket at THIS LOCATION . They even have a liquor department, great deli and some hardware.

Mick, Thanks for the info. Do you recall whether prices there are about the same as US grocery stores? If a lot higher, we'll just load up more at Publix before we leave Florida. Fred

Exactly, some things are higher, some lower. 2014 brought BIG increases in taxes on alcohol. I think it's up to 26%. Stock up on that for sure. Tobacco is cheaper than in the states.

There are several smaller grocery stores closer to the sea and a large Chedraui (similar to a Wal-Mart super store) in the center of the island. Prices weren't substantially more.

From the north end it was a 40 peso taxi to Chedraui and it has all the groceries one would find at a large grocery store here. The hardware part came in handy for us also. Fred
