The whole thing is just a boondoggle for government, to stick it to tourists, because they think they can.

Will they never learn?

This visitor is getting extremely tired of all the taxes and fees being imposed on visitors yet not seeing the improvements supposed to be made by these fees.

When we started coming to SXM there was no TOT, and the airport departure fee was only $2.00 U.S. per person. Those days are long gone but beyond a lot of extremely financially comfortable politicians, what do the real people of the island have to show for these changes? Lots of big fancy buildings but the same old nonsense going on inside them. Just my personal opinion.
