I don't think I reported on our first time there last week and we went again tonight. The first time I had to order the Drunken Ribs and they were fall off the bone. I took my first bite and sat back in my chair and smiled at my wife and said these are really really good. My wife had Garlic Tiger Shrimp and was excellent. Tonight I had the Surf and Turf, Filet Mignon with Garlic Shrimp. I decided not to have the any of the 2 sauces offered on the menu as I wanted the taste of grilled steak. When our waiter took my order he suggested to me that I decline on the sauce as it was a very good cut of beef and it certainly was. My wife had the Trinidad Style Tilapia. She was hesitant to order Tilapia as she cooks Tilapia alot at home but I said I bet they cook it different than you've ever had. She cleaned her plate off and to top it off we brought Carrot Cake home for dessert The owners and staff are very attentive and make you feel very comfortable. I will be back one more time before we leave for the Drunken Ribs.
Nice to hear you enjoyed the food, we always do and you have not even mentioned trying Greg's Lasagna which is a favorite of ours. The food is great as stated, the owners and the staff are what really makes the place special in my opinion. We just love the place, and the people, it is a reason in itself to make the trip for us. Cheers!
I might just have to make a trip in May to go to the Palms for dinner, possibly Lal's as well. hmmmm
I had lasagna there a few weeks ago, while others chose other dishes. I know shrimp was one of the choices. All was good. While I like ribs, I am not a fan of St. Louis style (spare ribs) that The Palms offer. While I have not heard any complaints about their ribs, I did find the price ($36 for a meal) to be rather high compared to other places offering ribs on the island. This is not meant as a knock against The Palms and I understand there is a lot of preparation for their offering, I just found the price to be out of line.
Good Morning "Lurker". I believe the filet mignon is always on the menu but last night Joelle said they had a surf and turf special filet with garlic shrimp. So it might of been a one of special. Both dishes are on the menu separately. As for the picture I'll work on that today. I have one ready to post but need my wifes approval for her pic. Lol. Maybe this morning at breakfast. we're going back to Reveil Matin.
If you go to Reveil Martin, ask if Kareen is working. If so, tell her JD says hello. We have known her for many years and followed her serving at several different places over the years. I had a nice chat with her a few weeks ago.
Your photo made me smile. You two look great, and anyone of us would be happy to exchange places with you, and any frame would be happy to hold that picture. Enjoy every blessed moment of your trip.
We arrive at BSV this week but only for sixteen days, which will be the longest stay Iβve ever managed to convince my DH we needed to do. Heβd be totally happy with a max of ten days but me? Not so much!
Enjoy the rest of your stay and perhaps weβll catch you walking the beach by BSV one day.
Respectfully,

They are probably better story tellers but we have had a couple of interesting happenings over the yeas. Our first trip to Marks Restaurant and our second trip to Orient Beach immediately come to mind. ππ

I'm sure you're aware, but owner/chef Greg is a Scarborough boy. We've been to the Palms countless times during the COVID years.

Greg's drunken ribs are always my first meal on the island, and I always have a doggie bag to take home to create another meal with just a little something added. Considering the quality of the ribs and the time and effort that goes into the preparation, they're well worth the price in my opinion.
GaKaye Couldn't agree more they are well worth the price and I did the same thing and brought some ribs home for the next night's dinner. We are sitting here right now with 4 night's left and trying to decide dinners. Tonight is Tortuga's for trivia night and dinner, The Palms for the ribs is another night, that leaves 2 nights to fill. Still undecided. Nice problem to have.
While I love most of the things on Palms menu, their ribs are not one of my favorites there. They are good but I donβt find them extraordinaire and can find equivalent elsewhere on the island for half of a price. Love my ribs βswimming β in the BBQ sauce.
It is not hot (spicey hot) and not all that spicey, at least not to me. I would maybe rate is a 3 on a scale of 10 for being spicey. A nice serving and a large salad on the plate as well.

I love the salad they serve as a side. That perky dressing is perfect for me.
We missed out on the Palms!! We tried to get in on our last night, Monday, and they were packed!!!
I think there was a large crowd that checked in over the weekend. There didn't seem to be a problem, without reservations, the two weeks, we were there. My mistake!!!
