When we arrived in St Thomas Ronnie was waiting there for us. Free transportation is part of the deal when you stay at his bed and breakfast. I will tell you this will save you quite a bit of money!!!!! Ronnie provides something no other place on the island I know of provides. He has a long history there is able to give you a nice history lesson on the way to his home. His Home sits on a hill overloook Charlotte Amalie. What a fantastic view looking over the balcony when you arrive with your first complimentary drink. (Another great savings and good value) The place was way better than the Best Western Carib Beach that we got stuck in when our flight was delayed. I felt like I was staying at the home of a friend. He also provided continenetal breakfast. danish and coffee, and cereal, juice, fruit, etc. Oh that is included too!!!!
The next day Ronnie helped us pack our bags into his vehicle and suggested we walk down to town until our boat was ready He picked us up in town and brought us to the boat. We graciously added a tip to our room bill for Ronnie He did not expect it but I know he appreciated it. And we appreciated all the extras he provides. My feeling is you can stay in a Holiday Inn anywhere, but Crystal Palace offers rooms in the same price range with more added extra value and when do you go on vacations and get to visit the inside of a real home that a real family lived in when they grew up I might add that with two twleve year old girls, who were checking out all of Ronnies collections and visiting with his dog , they were very comfortable there and Ronnie had no problem with them roaming about!!.
