It gets extremely busy on JVD from a couple of days before NYE ( Old Year's Night).Personally its the one time I would NOT want to be there..and I love JVD!

It really comes down to what you are looking for. If you are a partyer, go. It is nuts and a lot of fun. If not, do as suggested above and wait until later in the week. Since we are much older than we were when we first started going down there, we prefer a more toned down atmosphere now.
