Yesterday we took the first ferry over to spend the day at Straw Hat at the Frangiapani resort. The ferry wasn’t too bad but they were playing an extremely loud action movie for some reason. Nothing like The Rock screaming at you when you’re trying to keep motion sickness at bay. I think we’ll look into a semi private charter next time as we’d like to spend a few nights and would have luggage.

Meads Bay is just as beautiful as everyone always says. The beach and water were great, and service and food from Straw Hat staff was phenomenal. It’s a truly special place. We had fresh plantain chips with housemade salsa, jerk chicken, and tacos with lobster, tuna, and mahi. Oh and fresh seafood spring rolls. It was a really beautiful beach day.

The ferry back was a different type of boat entirely, and there was no movie and fewer people so a much more enjoyable ride. We enjoyed Anguilla mass would consider adding a few days to a future SXM trip, but we do like that SXM seems to have more “stuff”.
Dinner in Grand Case was a bust and the food is not worth pictures or description. I don’t really like using internet reviews as a weapon against small business owners so we’ll leave it at that I guess. Who can complain much when we’ve had so many wonderful meals otherwise?!

That beach looks beautiful. I do miss those and for just chilling out, Anguilla can't be beat but I agree that SXM has more "stuff". Enjoy......
