Since it faces the Atlantic it probably does get its share.

We normally go to SXM in June, and even before sargassum was a feature all around the island, Dawn Beach was often covered with it in June. These days, every beach seems to get it's fair share. As far as in general, Dawn Beach was much prettier before the Westin.

We go to OBBR every April and October. Although it can vary, especially in the last few years Dawn Beach tends to get a lot of seaweed - even more than other Atlantic beaches like Orient. Some days it’s fine but many days it’s rendered nearly unusable.
