Please don't forget if you are an animal lover you can do an amazing thing for PAW BVI and escort either a puppy or a cat/kitten to our partner rescues in the US.
It's all very easy, everything is organized for you. You are met at your point of departure with your travel buddy, and then a volunteer from our partner rescue will be at the other end to meet you.
Please email your flight details to pawbvi@gmail.com if you think you can help.
This year we sent 229 animals to the States, please help to make 2024 an even better year!
And in case you are wondering we do have a very active spay/neuter program too. Our figures for this year are in the pictures.
I was helping hold a dog down for a younger girl that was trying to get fleas off the dog (Phillibsburg beach). It touched me that she knew how to do that. But what she said to me floored me. She said she hates to see dogs that get adopted by the US. She says those dogs are thrown in a dumpster and shot dead. I told her I adopted a dog from SXM, he is a very much loved boy to us, and where did she hear such a thing. She was resolute in her belief, but I said every one I know is kind to animals, even if they don't have animals themselves. My dog that I adopted (don't know the breed -- we call it an island dog) has climbed trees, can jump up and down retaining walls, can run faster than any football player, but is also the most loyal and lovable dog we have. Now if I could ever learn dog language, he is very talkative.
