Against my better judgment after getting food poisoning from there last July our friends talked us into going there tonight. Seated with reservations at 7:15 food finally arrived at 8:20 and 8:30. Could they bring out food same time? NO. They were quite busy with 3 obnoxious tables which added to the not so enjoyable evening. It's become a tourist restaurant just like Pineapple Pete. Not for me. Too many better places out there with better food.

We've only had one not so good experience at Skipjacks, that's because we were a party of twelve and the place was jammed. Slow service, but food was still good!! Since day one, it's been a good staple for us!!! There is NO way Pineapple Pete's is a tourist trap!! Pierre runs a great restaurant with great food service and entertainment!!

We ate at Skipjacks two times in March, and it was decent both times. Service was a little erratic but that was not a big deal. There does seem to be some inconsistency though with the place.

Pineapple Pete's actually does a lot of local business, celebrations with locals, etc. It is not gourmet and may not be for everyone, but I personally would not consider a "tourist trap". Now, most of the places on the boardwalk in town would be what I would classify as a tourist trap.

I hope overall things are going well.

Been an interesting first 2 weeks. Have to go to the lab to drop off a sample and wait 3-4 days to see if antibiotic took care of the UTI this morning.🤞

JD--I agree, PP is not a tourist trap. It seems that most of the time when we go there, the majority of the crowd is locals. There is a reason why they are always busy.
