When taking the water taxi from the St. Thomas airport to BVI customs, via Chillout Charters & Water Taxi or Dolphin Water Taxi, how much should I tip the skipper of the taxi? We have never used a water taxi going from the USVI to the BVI. Thanks in advance for any information that you care to pass along.

We used Dolphin in 2021 and were quite happy with Dolphin. Going to the BVI Dolphin put us on a plane because of COVID the BVI wasn't permitting USVI water taxis to come to the BVI. That changed while we were on our charter so we did take a water taxis back to St. Thomas. As I recall we tipped the captain 20% of the one way cost.
One thing we missed doing which I regret was tipping the baggage handlers that met the boat in Red Hook. They were so efficient unloading luggage, loading it and us in a taxi we were on our way to the airport before I realized I should have tipped them as well.
