Know the owner, has tons of fine restaurant experience on Sint Maarten and Anguilla so should be great!

We stayed there at the Plantation Inn a couple years ago. I can't say enough great things about the place. We ate there several times. I can't remember if Lobster night is Monday or Friday but it seemed to be the evening when more folks were dining that weren't guests of the inn.
We enjoyed eating at the bar because you can see through into the kitchen as the chef is preparing the food. Julie and Charlotte provided great service, don't know if they are still there or not. I think the owner is the same person who owns L'Effet d'Mar (sp?) in Grand Case. Loved that too!

$20 or 20 Euro? And lobster is normally priced per pound, not any flat amount, I assume you know that? It's been a long time since I have eaten there, but they have always had a good reputation there.

Julie and Charlotte are no longer there...Charlotte opened a new restaurant in Cupecoy, the Bluefin ! Very nice resto with great local fish and seafood !
Olivier is still the chef at La Plantation, so it is still very good !

How long of a walk is it to Plantation from Orient Village? Is it ok to walk it in the evening or is the road dark?

It is a 5 minute walk from Orient village and it is as safe as can be, you walk through a residential neighborhood.

Having stayed at La Plantation several times, I have eaten there a goodly handful of times. Each meal I have had there has been a memorable experience. Superb food, great service, and looking over the lit-up pool is lovely.

Julie is the resident manager for La Plantation. To her credit she has had that position since 1993! ...Jim Rep

The Julie Rastamojo7 was talking about (provinding great service with Charlotte) is no longer there, she is back in France...I was not aware that there was another Julie...and the only manager I knew for 4 or 5 years was Charlotte who was in charge in the evening until last summer!
