A few days ago a purple flag was flying at the Baths, which means a warning for dangerous marine life. I was told it was jellyfish but no one could tell me what type. I assume it is something more dangerous than a moon jelly. anyone know what it was?

Be Careful and heed the warning flags. A few years ago I had the worst experience of all my many trips to the Baths. It was summer and I let a few of my crew into the water at the Baths from our dinghy. They were inundated with small jellies. The Parks Dept was a bit allow on putting up the purple flag and we-along with six divers from Dive BVI ended up at the local clinic with serious stings. Take the time to be certain the "coast is clear". When it is clear the Baths are an experience not to be missed.

It could be Box jellies or maybe Portuguese Man o War.
