We traditionally leave the beach, drive back to the villa, shower, drive back to Spanish Town to eat. For our up coming trip we are considering a new strategy. Leave the beach, stop by the restaurant, order food to go and have a drink. This new plan assumes that the restaurants on Virgin Gorda do not mind doing carry out. Are there flaws in this plan?

Thanks.

Chuck

There is nothing better than sitting on the veranda watching the sunset while eating take-out from Hog Heaven.

Customers get carry out from Hog Heaven at all times of the day. We get carry out pizza from Leverick every Tuesday pizza night when we're on island as well. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

We often got carry out from restaurants and took it back to the villa while on VG in Oct 2014. We stayed in the lovely Adagio villa overlooking Mahoe Bay, so we wanted to enjoy the nice deck. Here are the places we went and had no problem getting carry-out.

Bath and Turtle - got carry-out several times because it was convenient and the food was so good. We loved the grilled Mahi, Curry chicken, coconut curry shrimp, and tomato-pumpkin soup. They had nice fresh salads too. We had a drink at the dock bar while waiting.

Saucez - right across the street from the yacht harbor. The wonderful smell of the food cooking drew us in. Great West Indian food. Had stewed mutton with rice, okra and spinach, dove pork with salad.

Mermaids - Grilled Mahi (it tasted and looked like Kingfish, so not sure it was Mahi) and shrimp in butter lime sauce. Fish, veggies, plaintains were good; shrimp was so-so.

Mimi's food stand (across from Scotia Bank) - a taxi driver recommended this place because my husband was looking for goat. (They didn't have it that day.) We tried stewed chicken with ground provisions, green plaintain, fried chicken and fresh made bread. It was late in the day, so some of the food was dry like it had been sitting out for a long time. Bread was tasty and fresh.

Little Bakery on a side road in town (can't remember if the name is L&L or M&M) - we just bought coconut pastries and macaroons, but they had some hot food dishes for carry-out that looked good. We'll try their food on our next trip.

Have a great trip.
