Little Dix Bay, keeps getting better and better. Hard to fathom since it has always been great. The staff is amazing. They always go out of their way to make guests feel at home. We were there for a week in early December. The new beach cabanas and chairs were so comfortable that we found ourselves napping daily on the beach. Please understand. We are not nappers, so this was amazing. We were pampered with frozen grapes, and sorbet served daily on the beach. The snorkeling in the bay is very good. We saw eels, octopus and a multitude of other fish. We took advantage of the complimentary snorkel trips, which were very convenient. There was music several evenings; our favorite was Morris Mark who entertained us for 3 hours without a break. We danced at waters edge and sang along.

If you are looking for a retreat to a special place, where you can snorkel, sail, swim or just do nothing, we recommend Little Dix Bay. It is an extremely well-run resort that is worth every penny.

I'm glad you had a great stay. Nice to here good reports of it. There was a time a few years ago that it wasn't not so good

Hi B&S,
Thanks for your St John and VG reports and sharing your wonderful photos. We thoroughly enjoyed them, especially the identifications!

In Oct 2014, we were staying in a villa on VG and arranged tours of LDB, Biras and Bitter End. We had lunch one day and our anniversary dinner at LDB. The staff arranged for an extensive tour of the resort and everyone was so friendly and welcoming (unlike Biras). We enjoyed Mark Morris at dinner and he even sang an anniversary song to us. It was a special time. It is certainly a beautiful spot and on our list for a future stay. We have stayed at Peter Island several times and Caneel once, so we were comparing it to them.

We talked to someone at LDB about the beach drops and snorkel trips. We are avid snorkelers, so these activities appeal to us. Can you tell us which beaches they do the "drop off"? I think they take people to Savannah, but not sure the others. Can you tell us where they typically go for the snorkel trips. We enjoy going to different (less trampled) spots, and we seem to recall they went to some of the small islands (Dogs, maybe?).

Thanks!

Hi AquaGirl, The beach drops can go to: the dogs, mountain trunk, long bay, spring bay and several other spots. We are also avid snorkelers as you know and find the variety of spots enough to keep us busy.
