I just got through taking the time to take my supplements and prescriptions and putting them all in individual snack bags so that I'll just have to grab a bag each day and take my stuff. Has anyone had any issues bringing their scripts this way while traveling? I know some folks use the little pill boxes that have the days marked on them (e.g. Mon, Tues, etc.) and that is what I sometime use. I don't want to get there and have a hassle or worse, have them take them away from me. Any experience with this? I was just going to back them in my checked luggage. to avoid the most obvious search.

I can't address the meds in a baggie issue but I usually take a picture of the script or med bottle and save it on my phone for reference. I've never been asked but its there if I need it.
I would never put my meds in a checked bag.

I have never had security ask me about my meds, but do NOT!!!!! under any circumstance, put them in checked bags!!! Very bad idea. Couldn't hurt to have a paper copy of the prescription(s) from your pharmacist, if you're not keeping them in the original bottles. I think TSA regs SAY you're supposed to keep them in the original bottles, but from my experience, anyone that takes more than one medication, they don't do that.

I'm way beyond medicating. Electro shock maybe, but meds won't ever work <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" />

For an interesting experiment, take your prescription into that little apothecary near the roundabout and ask for enough pills to make it until you get home. You will be AMAZED at the price difference between the BVI and the Walgreens or RiteAid back home.

Glenn A is right. We are in Martinique and LuSea hurt her back. Went to the pharmacy with empty bottles from the vet in NY and got 3 times the amt of pills for less than 1/3 of what we paid in NY for a few pills. and they were controlled substances. No questions asked. Same for us peeps.

First, doesnt it really, really suck tha we have to take so many pills each day? Second, never, ever questioned pills in BVI or anywhere in the world - just not an issue. Third, Glenn is right- in amost all foregin countrys, drugs are issued by a pharamist (or whoever happens to be beyond the counter) and the prices are staggeringly low.
