If you do a search here you will find many mentions of Anse Marcel area but that said, RIU is an all-inclusive resort on one end of the beach area here.

There is another spot that is often spoken of, and that many of us absolutely love, called the Anse Marcel Beach Club. Trust me, it is NOT an inexpensive day but one that might become one of the highlights of your trip.

As I recall, five of us spent a lovely day there back in April. By the time we left, our bill for the day ranged in the $350.00 range and I thought it a good deal, all things taken into consideration. It seems to me, the chair rental alone is $22 EU for two chairs, an umbrella and a cocktail table. Our day included chair set-ups for five adults, drinks on the beach with several bottles of sparkling wine served chair side and then a lovely lunch in one of their special dining alcoves. Its certainly not an everyday beach lunch, at least, not for us, but for a special day it was delightful. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the setting delightful. The restrooms are lovely and well maintained and the parking is fairly secure in their well paved lot.

There appears to be a reasonably sized beach area between these two properties where one could set up their own chairs and umbrellas and dine from the largesse of their personal coolers which to the best of my knowledge, CANNOT be done at either of the two more formal establishments.

The beach itself in this cove is white powdery sand and generally speaking, there are no waves - just a gentle and pleasant water experience for those who don't want the other. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />
