I travel all over the world and hardly carry any cash. I use a combination of credit cards (with no foreign transaction fees), debit cards and my ATM card for those few instances when I need cash in local currency. Fletch is absolutely correct but there are still a few of us "human Dino's" still able to travel and for which old habits die hard. It's far easier and more comfortable to transport cash in the form of TCs for some of us at a certain age level. Truth is, whatever your choice, make it be comfortable for yourself because in the end, it really is a matter of whatever works for you.
