sailing Only works in range of a cell tower. Fortunately they have not built a RF wall at the shore line. I have picked up cell signals 20 miles from shore here. The passport plan is not limited to wifi. In some countries they have wifi hot spots. Otherwise it is cellular data. For a week long trip the daypass is a good deal. Verizon has a very similar program.
