Not my experience....I have had my credit cards frozen (recently) if I do not alert them of travel plans and they see "unusual activity" -- always best to play it safe rather than having to call companies from your cell - that may or may not be picking up a signal at the time you want to use your card. I travel a bunch for a living - always better to be safe...than frustrated IMHO. Takes two seconds. Why not?
