Sharks and night swimming aside, we loved being on the dock at Peter! On our recent trip we spent one night on the dock and one night on a mooring ball. If you're on the dock, I'd pay the $125 dock/slip fee and run the generator. Power costs an extra $70/night. We loved the food at the beachside restaurant much better than the Tradewinds restaurant. Great service, good food (albeit pricey, but we enjoyed it). As a marina guest (slip or ball) you can use the white loungers on the beach (not the wicker and cushioned ones).
