The $50.00 weekly fee is the Dutchside timeshare tax Imposed to make up for the monies charged in taxes at hotels and without the fee, otherwise lost to the government coffers if not charged. If you stay at a timeshare but as a hotel guest you shouldn’t be charged the $50.00 weekly tax but they will charge the hotel room rate instead. And I’m not certain but there was talk a few years ago about the weekly timeshare tax increasing but as of April 2017, the last time we stayed at our timeshare, they were still charging the $50.00 per week.
