We rented a Moke many years ago for our Honeymoon in Barbados. It was fun until the next to the last day when a Tropical Storm came through. Little protection from wind and rain as ours had no side flaps or windows. They also don't operate well when wet. Keep in mind, you drive on the left side of the road in Barbados, which means your stickshift will have to be operated lefthanded. It can be fun!
As to locking things in your vehicle, most on this board will tell not to keep anything in the vehicle, locked or not. Even cars with trunks get broken in to, and the rental car companies charge a fortune for a broken lock.
Mokes can be tough to find these days, so we have moved more toward the soft-top Suzuki vehicles.
