We arrived yesterday from JFK. Given the warnings about Willa and the email from Delta, we were nervous we would not get out. But we did. Departure and arrival went very smoothly. I think we waited maybe five minutes for our luggage. Met up with Michael and his son from Unity and we were good to go. We were in no rush to get to Divi. Our experience has been that the rooms are never ready early. We stopped at Atlantico for sandwiches and enjoyed them on the overlook on the hill. Wow, what a clear day with many islands off in the distance. The weather and visibility is always so different than when we come in July. After our lunch, we went to Cost Pro for some essentials and we were off to Divi. Look at that, room was ready, perfect timing. Always good to be back and see familiar faces. My mom took a fall in July and so many of the staff remembered and were concerned about her. Quick look around the resort—place looks great but still some construction to do on the pool by Gizmos.

We went to church at 6 in town—well I went to church while hubby found a bar. Car show in the parking lot by the police station so we parked by the salt pond. After church, we took a ride to Taco Macho. We always enjoy it there. They had a nice guy playing the guitar who kept us entertained with songs from Sinatra to Clapton. We wanted to find a place to watch the Packer game so we stopped at the new casino on Airport road. Big screen but way too much smoke for us. We headed over to Hollywood and then walked down to the marina to check out the Relay Sports bar. They offer valet parking and I think it will work nicely.

Off to the beach—looks like a great day for doing nothing which is our favorite kind of day.
