Given the latest of the hour you may be wise to check out TripAdvisor.com or Hotels.com to see what's available and still matches the criteria you are looking for. Cul-de-Sac is a nice enough area, but we prefer staying on the Dutch side. Keep in mind when you book a place on the French side it's smart to ask if they have power adapters for your electronic devices. The French use a different electrical system. You'll need one to plug in your cell phone charger, wife's curling iron, etc. Don't assume these are ready and waiting for you. (P.S. -- You can always buy your own at Staples for something like $20. That way you always have one with you.).
