We got swapped to a Saba 50 a few years ago from a Lagoon 52 that we were supposed to be on but had technical problems. I liked the Saba 50 overall. Had plenty of room for our family plus our guests. I liked the different spaces that it had for people to spread out and have some time away from others if needed (keeping in mind it is a 50' boat). Performance-wise I think it sailed respectably for a charter boat and was easy to manage. The one we were on had an issue with the bar connecting the rudders vibrating against the fiberglass whenever we ran the engine which was annoying, but I assume that isn't a common problem with them. We had one of the engines die after a trip head-on into large swell, but it was just a clogged fuel filter that the charter company came out and took care of for us. The ladies of the group checked out a Lagoon 52 after our charter and were a bit bummed that we didn't get on it with it's full size fridges and huge galley and fly bridge. From a sailing and boat management perspective though I was happy to be on the Saba.
