My vacation was mostly spent catching up with my friends that live on Tortola, hanging out at their homes, watching NFL and NBA games at a couple of sports bars, and attending a few parties but I have a few highlights below:

- No ferry issues to/from CA. No complaints from me. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

- Spent an entire day on CGB. Had my usual breakfast at The Big Banana. Caught up with Tony at The Elm and he made me a wicked Painkiller. Too bad I missed his BBQ. Said what’s up to One Love and bought a bracelet. Had lunch at Myetts and gave Prince a kiss. Visited with Sandman and toured his new guest apartments next to Bobby’s – a great new addition to the beach. I really like his Grand K Suites as they are modern, very clean, and have nice amenities but these two new one-bedroom apartments are my current favorites because they have jacuzzi tubs and this girl loves a good bubble bath! The waves were pounding on CGB so I stuck to lounging in my chair. It was nice to hear everyone say, “Welcome home.” It was a wonderful day.

- Capriccio’s is still my go-to spot for a long lunch when I’m in Road Town. I never had a bad dish and I love the service there. On the flipside, Village Cay needs to update their menu and their service. The waitress I had needed a lesson in customer service and the food was mediocre. The entire place needs an overhaul. I do like to sit there and watch the boats come in. I went to Charlie’s at The Moorings and ordered the sushi which was very good. La Dolce Vita has some of the best gelato. I had hazelnut and chocolate mixed – yummy!

- Spent Christmas Eve out on a 68 foot Sunseeker. I could get used to living like that. Lots of yacht spotting as there were huge ones everywhere. We had lunch on Norman Island. The renovation to Pirates is phenomenal. The restaurant looks like something out of St. Barts or Anguilla – just gorgeous. Everything we ordered was very tasty. I can tell they’ve increased their prices but someone has to pay for the new décor. We circled Tortola in the boat and it was so relaxing. Another wonderful day.

- Had a night out at the Bamboushay Lounge next to Le Grand Café for their Christmas party. Nice little lounge – a good place to start a night out or end it. I won a massage from a local spa during their Christmas raffle so I guess I’ll use that when I return in May.

- My friends turned me on to a late night food stand next to the high school that serves these tasty fried fish sandwiches. They hit the spot coming back from a party at 4am and it certainly beat hitting Panchee’s van but I guess when you're inebriated and tired, anything tastes good.

I didn’t get a chance to go to JVD this time but I hope to do that when I’m in St. John later this month for the Love City Live reggae event as they will have a powerboat party on White Bay as part of the event. Steel Pulse and Duane Stephenson are performing. Should be a good time!

Next BVI trip: May 22!
