xraylady--There are a few lights on that road after you turn off the main road, but I don't think so, after you start up the hill, but there are several villas along through there, so it is not particularly dark. The road IS paved, and pretty smooth, no issues at all with that. The road is also nice and wide. We had no issues at all with the road, once we drove it a couple of times. I wouldn't want to do it for the first time after night though.
