Yes, for sure we miss them when we go away. Jules is too big to go under the seat and I don't think he would do well regardless. Teddy would probably do ok, but then I'd worry about him when we went out to dinner. They are perfectly happy when we are gone, as we have a lady that comes in to take care of them a couple times a day and she often hangs out here for several hours and spoils them rotten!
