Went there several times years in the past. Above poster is correct, hard getting down, real hard getting back up if you're not in shape. Not dangerous as steps are cut into path and some benches along the way for taking a rest. Seems like lots of folks use (if/when weather is nice) and best catered beach I've ever seen. Parking is limited. A small lot (pay) if you get there early enough and a parking building (more expensive) on the university side of the road.
