Wednesday November 9 – It’s our last full day on the island. We had leftovers for breakfast and I enjoyed a leisurely, short walk outside. I met a gentleman who stays for two weeks at Royal Islander La Plage and picks up trash along the beach each morning. What a great thing to do! It’s a small world, as he’s from the same small state that we are from. The weather looks good this morning, so we made one last trek to Orient Beach, arriving at 10:00.

The Club O parking lot was packed with cars and the beach was crowded. We grabbed chairs from the stack (no beach guys that we could see) and found one of the last remaining spots on the beach. Umbrellas and chairs were pretty much sold out by 11:00. The ocean was choppier and the winds were up from yesterday, but still better than when we were here in May. We didn’t spend much time in the ocean due to the rocks on the ocean floor.

Lunch was at Orange Fever, and we were disappointed to find out that JC had the day off. Pepperoni pizza was Marc’s order, and I had a fabulous French Hamburger, with Camembert cheese, cooked onions and mushrooms. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. Rum shots ended the meal.

The rest of the afternoon was spent by the pool at La Terrasse. The pool’s water temperature has warmed up just a little bit, and we managed to get ourselves in it for the first time in FIVE days.

At 6:00 we met friends, Deepti and Harry, for drinks at Sublime. I had a Vodka/Blueberry cocktail. I can't remember the name of it, but it was good. There was a young man serving drinks behind the bar. He’s all of 18 years old. Boy, do we feel OLD! It was nice catching up with Deepti and Harry. They had dinner plans that night and took the time to spend a little while with us.

We walked over to Driftwood for supper. It was around 7:30 and the bar was empty. I was surprised by that. It was creamy chicken pasta for Marc and chicken & lamb shwarma for me. We each had one beer and called it a night. After a great last full day, I fell asleep on the patio. I blame it on the beach and sun, Marc blames it on the drinks at Sublime. Lol We weren't driiving, so all was good!
