It is totally amazing how quickly the beach disappears and then reappears on Maho. Staying at LaPlage, we have seen it come and go so quickly. One large beautiful beach one day....to no beach and just rocks the next. Few years back, the bottom of the steps at LaPlage were probably at least six to seven feet in the air....since the beach was wiped out. Within a day or two....the beach went from nothing...to the sand up to the second or third step!!!! That's why i always get a good laugh at people inquiring here about ''current'' beach conditions, because they are going to be on the island in a few weeks to few months. LOL the majesty of ''mother nature''.
